Technology Training at Tel-Hi

  • February 9, 2016
  • Tech Teach-ins

To ring in the new year and to help seniors understand how to use those new devices they received over the holidays, Community Technology Network and Next Village teamed up to provide one-on-one training for a group of seniors at the Tel-Hi Neighborhood Center. Wonderful volunteers from TechSoup gave their Sunday afternoon to help seniors download e-books to their Kindle, change the accessibility settings on their laptop, better understand how to use their iPhone, and more.

One senior participant had this to say:

“A great group of volunteers! Everybody was getting everything they needed. They are terrific! I realized I am not alone and some of the same problems exist for others.”

Join us in closing the digital divide! Organize a team volunteer event through CTN. Email volunteer@ctnbayarea.org for more information.
